Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao’s Sanam Teri Kasam’s re-release is pulling massive crowds to the theatres. The Harshvardhan Rao and Mawra Hocane starrer already surpassed its lifetime collections when it was released in 2016. Amid this, fans of the film are awaiting the release of its sequel. In an exclusive conversation with Filmfare, the director duo confirmed the release date of Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
The makers earlier hinted that they will try to release the sequel during Valentine’s Day next year. Now confirming the release date to us, Rao said, “It will be a Valentine’s release. Next Valentine’s, it will be there. The story is locked and the music is half done.”
On being asked whether they have locked the lead cast, Sapru added, “The cast has not been locked but the story has been. It will definitely be there and this time we’ll go to our mentor Salman Khan and ask for his advice. Because he just loves our cinema and he’s our mentor and we respect him a lot. This time we’ll definitely go to him then we’ll have no promotion issues. When we were writing Sanam Teri Kasam, we wrote part 2 as well. The story is ready, which is 80 per cent of the job done. Sooner we’ll go into execution and music of course. So Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is happening on Valentine’s Day 2026.”
