Try this holiday movie training challenge!

Even the most dedicated exercisers can be difficult to maintain activity during the holidays.

Cold weather, exhausting events, tons of food and drinks at those events, and seemingly new streaming services appear each month.

The world may seem pleading to leave you sitting on a sofa parked in front of the tube.

Luckily, you can use that screen time for your benefit!

An easy and fun way to move while watching your favorite holiday classics is to play movie training games. It’s like a drinking game…but you replace boosing with exercise!

Every time I see or hear one of these clues in the next holiday movie, I get up and do some moves. Your body will thank you.

Christmas Story

  • Ralphy’s dream Christmas present, whenever Red Rider BB gun is mentioned or seen, do 10 push-ups and burn your own gun.
  • Every time the infamous leg lamp speaks or watches, he gets up and does eight single-leg deadlifts on each leg, firing glut and hamstrings.

House alone

  • Every time Kevin (Macauley Culkin) pulls a stunt that punishes with a house intruder (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), he gets up and gives 10 bat kicks while being kicked.
  • Whenever someone says “Kevin,” they do a 10-second jab and a cross punch.

National Lamphun Christmas Holiday

  • With a 15 jump jack, I get up and do aerobic exercise whenever the Chevrolet Chase screws something.
  • Every time someone slips, slides, falls, falls, take the header, or do a positive charge set. Like everyone in the film, they maintain proper shape to prevent injuries.

  • Whenever Will Ferrell screams or screams something, he stands up and runs in a tight circle for 15 seconds. (Not recommended for revolving doors.)
  • Whenever someone makes a buddy a joke butt, they hit the floor, do ten Groot bridges and carve booty.

That’s a wonderful life

  • Whenever someone says “George Bailey,” get off that couch and do five surrender activists and wake your quad up.
  • Whenever you see snow, go down to the floor and do eight push-ups (four on each side). Move your upper body and core while you can reach peaks on the screen!

Actually I love it

  • Every time a character says the word “actually,” he gets up and does a 10 weight squat.
  • I go down to the floor and board each time emotional music plays during my heartfelt speech. Try it until the music stops…

The miracle of 34th Street

  • Whenever you see a Christmas tree on your screen, you can get up and make a 5-star jump. It’s the same as a tree topping ornament, right?
  • Whenever you see Santa, try giving a 30-second scissor kick to drive away your Santa-like belly. (I love you, Santa!)

  • Whenever Frank (Bill Murray) moves from reality to fantasy, or vice versa, he does 10 squat jacks.
  • Whenever Frank touches his tie, do ten climbers.

Charlie Brown Christmas

  • They stand up and dance as classic bright theme songs play, like the scene where Peanuts kids get funky at the gym. Freestyle!
  • The symbolically mellow performance of Christmas time is herewhile you’re sitting, or on the floor in front of the TV, you can do it with this series of stretching exercises, including neck stretching, chests, pick stretching, happy babies.

The Grinch who stole Christmas

  • Whenever the Grinch grins, do one of these facial yoga exercises, like a cheek lifter.
  • Ten standing calves will be promoted and join in for fun as the Grinch sneaks from place to place with their toes.
