Irregular periods can be caused by a number of reasons. Ayurvedic experts should add some food to your diet to support a healthy menstrual cycle.

Does your irregular period give you more stress than you need? It may be a sign from your body to check your hormone health. With the growing number of women leading a fast-paced lifestyle, problems with hormonal issues such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and the thyroid have become common. These conditions make it difficult for women to combat weight gain, skin breakthroughs, and fertility issues. Normal menstrual cycle – an average of 28 days may vary from person to person, but it can be an important measure of health for women. Ayurvedic practitioners say that after a good diet with the right superfoods, it is a natural way to balance your menstrual cycle, along with regular exercise and meditation.

The Ayurvedic ancient medical system recommends that women consume simple, easy-to-digest fresh foods during their menstrual period. However, according to Ayurvedic expert Smita Naram, it is also important to be aware of the foods you consume at other times of the month.

Five foods to manage irregular periods

There are multiple causes for irregular periods, but sometimes you may wonder, “What should you eat during irregular periods?” If that’s you, you should simply note that diet does not regulate your period overnight. However, consistent consumption of certain superfoods can be helpful. According to experts, adding the following foods and drinks to your meals can help you regulate your menstrual cycle.

1. linseed

Flaxseed is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, lignans and phytoestrogens that help you have a healthy menstrual cycle. They can be eaten by roasting them or flouring them to mix in daily meals.
