But many of you are looking for more custom meal plans and digital diabetes management options, and have been looking for solutions for a while.
We are finally pleased to have found a comprehensive diet plan and diabetes management app that we think will benefit the strong diabetic community, regardless of the type of diabetes you live in.

Introducing Klinio
Klinio (formerly known as mydiabetes) is a comprehensive dietary planning and diabetes management app.
The first thing to show that this app is made by people who understand diabetes is that the platform customizes content based not only on type 1 or type 2 diabetes, but also on pre-diabetics and LADA (type 1.5).
Downloading the Klinio app can tell you whether you are vegan or vegetarian, whether you have food allergies or intolerances, and whether you have other medical conditions such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Meal plan
Based on the initial information you enter, the app will automatically generate custom meal plans developed by a team of qualified nutritionists and a grocery shopping list.
But you are not trapped in your initial plan. You can easily change your app’s nutrition preferences and goals and get new plans as often as you want. Yes, you can also print it if it is on paper.
If you prefer a very low carb plan, such as a ketogenic plan, or if you want to specify exactly how many carbs, fats and proteins you need, you can choose instead, and the app will quickly create a plan to fit your specifications.
You can also exclude certain foods from your diet plan. I asked the app to rule them out as I can’t digest many different vegetables due to FODMAP intolerance.
I like to eat a low to medium carb diet so I set my carbs to 40% (which means about 130 grams of carbs per day to me), 40% protein, 20% fat, and the app developed a great custom meal plan with daily recipes and the accompanying meals.
Each recipe lists carbohydrates and other macronutrients as you’re used to with strong diabetic recipes (Yay, count carbohydrates).

Diabetes management functions
Custom Meal Plan is the feature I’m most excited about, but what really sets the app apart from others on the market is its integrated diabetes management feature.
The app provides education on diabetes-related topics and can track key diabetes management data such as blood glucometers (links the app to Glucometer or Dexcom CGM), A1C, and diabetes medications.
Link the app to IHealth on your iPhone and automatically draws in Dexcom CGM measurements and daily activities (talks).
You can also manually log other meals over your meal plan, or choose your blood sugar data, medication, blood pressure, and exercise.
Also, talking about exercise, the app also has a large library of training for fitness levels, and none of them require equipment.

Essentially, using this one app gives you three most important health features. A balanced, custom diet plan, exercise plan and diabetes management tool.
How to get the app
The Klinio app is available in 7 languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Norway, Norway, Polish) in 195 countries and can be downloaded to either iOS or Android devices.
Current pricing is between $1.29 and $2.99 a week, depending on whether you choose a 3-, 6-, or 12-month plan.

If you want to access the training program, it’s an additional $19.99.
